Artymowicz Aviation for X-Aviation CRJ-200 Engine Sound

We really don’t need to ask “TSS” for soundpacks (as someone has voted on the forum) to achieve top quality sound in our airplanes, all we need is good Sound Architecture inside the X-Plane 10 + better external TOOLS for sound programming, better user interfaces, more features: other than airplane sound sources, good lowpass/highpass filtering, reverb, rapture 3D, looping points, occlusion etc etc.. FSX actually have at least two GUI application for the sound artists. Also is using much better Sound Architecture – in contrast to our humble hmm… architecture? “Godmother” not everyone is deaf… (!) This is a preview of new generation of soundpacks. The Sound Architecture it’s the Conex cool DreamEngine Plugin. Thank you Fred! Of course my soundpacks are designed to work with vibration devices from the start. Ask, comment & enjoy (720p playback recommended). The CRJ-200 is not yet available for purchase.

Are you using a plugin to get these sounds? How did you record the sounds as well.

  2. arti · May 17, 2011

yes the sounds comes from the plugin driven sound architecture actually.
Sounds? It was very hard to get them in high quality. The rest it’s a almost 30 years of experience in brain/ears psychoacoustic manipulations…

I have to admit, this set sounds incredibly well. Awesome work Arti!

it sounds the way it should for us X-Plane maniacs!

How do you get this soundpack? I don’t see a purchase or download link.
Really great sound though. I would love to have it.

Thanks for subscribing. The CRJ Project is not yet finished, I’m still working on it. Also I’m waiting for the new feature of sound architecture I’ll get hopefuly soon.

Pretty flash! I christen you The Sound Man!

      thank you Henry so much!

So is this available for download? Purchase? It sounds great…you’re absolutely right, this is what x-plane has been missing! I still have to say though, the x-aviation guys did the best they could with what they had, i think the engines sound pretty good considering, but the high pitched whale of your sounds makes it so real!

Hi Alain. Many thanks for your opinions… I’m happy you agree with my feelings. My role is not to criticize the X-Aviation. I still like the CRJ. I know they worked hard to simulate the deep systems and finally release the plane. My role is to provoke the “fashion for high sound quality simulation”. Also I want the X-Plane simmers to become interested in vibration devices because after my detailed experiments I don’t want ever to fly without them… The CRJ-200 sound project if not yet finished. Now I will get back to work on the external engines. They will be even harder to simulate. But stay tuned, those cool sounds will find the way to your desktop finally:)

You seriously should have a talk with Austin :)

about health problems? You know A. he always knows better…

In this case I think you really outdid yourself. The sound of the engine revving at 80% and up is just amazing! Great work and I insist you have a chat with A! =)

      Just don’t want to scream…

Ah yes, the `classified` Atmosphera plugin. As the unofficial test bunny, I can tell you, it rocks!

Flying through a hail/thunderstorm has never been more horrifying as hearing them ping and echo off the skin of your plane in glorious stereo, with the thunder booming loud enough to vibrate your very soul.

It’s amazing how much a set of good quality sounds can deepen the immersion into a simulator. If only more developers realized this and allowed us this level of depth from the ground up.

Thanks Fred! You’re very sensitive to the sounds with great aural imagination… Thanks for the beta testing our new “Environmental Sound Effects Project” for the X-Plane. I know it will surprise people with hearing abilities.

Arti – I think with a buttkicker, some of those lightning sounds will surprise people WITHOUT hearing abilities too!

      Beautifully said… Fred!

The CRJ-200 is excellent work with one major drawback – the sounds. I could not fly it because 50% of a simulation in my opinion is what you hear.

I tried to adapt TSS CRJ sounds from FSX somehow but yet the JR CRJ is a no-go for me.

I bumped on your development arti and I must say I am greatly impressed. Looking forward for this BIG release to start using my X-Plane CRJ-200.

    Standing by for updates…

Thank you Martin, you’re motivating me to finish the CRJ-200 Sound Project :) Great to know you do feel the flight sim is a audio visual art… Please subcribe to rss and stay tuned! regards arti (BTW check out the Challenger: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2826.0 )
